Surprising Divorce

I got two different types of feelings, when I read this press release of yesterday.

Let us talk about the positive side. Kalaingar Karunanithi has stated that he is delinking from SUN TV & Kungumam from now on and has sold out his family stake in those organisations. Does it mean that he won't appear everyday on the small screen giving his opinion on earthquake / rain etc.,? I assume so...

On the negative side, SUN TV is reducing the entertainment elements for bloggers (like KAPS), eventhough they are still running the serials which will feed us for a long time. Isn't it?

If you could observe, the missing of Key personalities (I mean, long term associates) is happening slowly in SUN TV... earlier it was AV.Ramanan, then 'Nirmala Periyasaamy' (you can read as 'Niirmalaaa PeriiiiyaSaaaamy'), now it is Kalaingar Karunanithi. I am eagerly waiting for the turn of the Iron(!!) lady who used to be showered with "Neenga romba azhagaa irukiinga, madam?" comments... nagara mattengraangalee... :o( :o( :o(

Very interesting blog Ram :)..

I was quite surprised to see Karunanidhi doing this..But he surely knows he has little time left for him and he needs to get some good name by starting a trust and helping others! He is still competing to be another MGR!But no one can beat MGR! He is the BEST :)

I was surprised too. Not sure what is going on.

Only shameful thing that I see going on now...is...even a program like "Samsung Neengal Ketta Padal' Indirectly hits at the Jaya GOVT. ( Yesterday's episode on the Rain waters in Chennai)

Ofcourse we've always had these things going on ie. Jaya Vs Sun.!!

Not sure on the Positive or negative sides..but I am sure..there is something fishy..!! Let's watch.

Adhu yarunga Iron hand lady? Chithiyaa? (Sun TV parthu romba varushamachu.. Lucky, huh? ;) )

Ram,
Sun TV is easily worth about 1000 Crores….so a 20% share will fetch atleast 200 crores.
This consideration has not been revealed to the public. I wanted to write about this….but u beat me to it. Will come up with a post later.

VJ.. has the editor / director of that show changed? how dare he is allowed to cut the obvious showerings by the well wishers? :-) :-) :-)

Arjuna.. I also got surprised. Not sure about the motive behind this..

Mr.Narayanan.. This "Jaya Vs Sun" is happening from the day of "JJ Tv"s launch in early 90s, isn't it? I believe things will continue like this for another couple of years...

Raju.. She is none other than the great "Pepsi Uma".. another thing.. why "lucky" comments? I hardly sit to watch SUN TV.. akkaraikku ikkarai pacchai.. Are you not getting SUN TV in your area? I know couple of friends who are getting the feed.. including Mr.Narayanan, if I am not wrong!!!

Cogito.. That's what made me to wonder.. Elections are nearing, hmmm.. nothing is going to change fruitfully.

Sundaresan.. LOL:-) better to have a small screen TV [so that the figure may not threaten you that much, compared to seeing in a bigger plasma TV]

Kaps.. mine is of a humurous commercial nature. Your is always different, from an economic perspective. So, eagerly awaiting your post too.. with economic implications [ :0) :0) ]

its good for AMMA, i think TN is better in the last 5 yrs that under thatas rule,

by the way interesting thing bout thathas 'arikais' is that they dont pertain to the current situation. imagine the very nxt day after chennai deluge, thatha issues an 'arikai' requesting that the central govt dates tamil. idu romba thevaiya?? when chennai was flooded??

but suntv cannot delink from DMK as long as DMARAN is member of parl, just that there is a messy succcession battle btwn DMARAN and STALIN and MUKA AZAGHIRI in the offing

u meant pepsi uma rite when u said iron lady?vj's may come and vjs will go but pepsi uma will go on fo ever..in fact she is a legend...as old as cable tv in india.

sun tv anyway is full of dmk propoganda..i dont think anything is going 2 change..take the current floods in madras..instead of working with the ruling party in this crisis situation...the channel is busy showing how bad the government is dealing with it...frankly given the situation amma has done a good job...tatha and co just want 2 make political milage of the situation.

Oh, Pepsi Uma.. yeah yeah I remember.. I heard she got all sorts of comments including what you said, and also "madam, naanum MBA.. ennai kalyanam pannikkireengala?" to "Uma, enn paiyan MS mudichuttu States-le irukkan.. unnoda jadhagam anuppuriya?" :-)

I meant to say that I am lucky.. not watching Sun TV.. I feel that there is no need for TV, except for watching moveis of my choice.. My wife is asking for Indian channels.. When we move to next place, let me get them.. As of now, I am really not missing the channels at all..

Vinesh.. Still, I don't believe that it could happen. Should be a backdoor arrangement... let us wait and see during the next few months, since election is nearing..

Vatsan.. it seems 'Amma's period always seem to be better in public's eye.. during the early 90s also people felt the same way... !!

Siddharth.. I am worried as to how long Uma will occupy the small screen...

Raju.. good that you don't miss SUN TV. Being practical.

yeah Ram, as you said, it should be a backdoor arrangement....

it should be to crete a fake situation.. so that nobody tries to bring a clash between dayanidhi maaran and stalin..

how many ppl does Murasoli reaches ?! only DMK katchikaargal buys them..

but Sun TV reaches almost all nook and corner of the state and its a very powerfull media weapon for them, there are many ppl who still believe that news in Sun is real, surely such an experienced politician will not loose it..

its going to be a political stunt for that 5 crore arakatalai bloody buggers (kavundamani style-la vasinga ;-)

moreover, does anyone knows which wifes shares were sold ?! ;-) may be he still owns the other wifes shares :-)))

dei.. yaar panathai yaaruda pangu podureenga.... :-))))
